About:

I am a Chicago native with many degrees who received my Education Specialist in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from ASU. I have a passion for community and assisting people in achieving holistic well-being. I like working with various clientele, including families, couples, young adults, adolescents, and multicultural communities.

I am passionate about using therapeutic support to overcome personal life difficulties. I am skilled in dealing with LGBTQIA+ social, individual/community relationships, trauma, disruptive behaviors, low self-esteem, and trauma-related affinities.

I employ a person-centered, all-encompassing approach, and my therapeutic modalities combine CBT, REBT, trauma-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. My mission is to assist people and families in acquiring the abilities and methods necessary to lead more peaceful, contented lives.

I think clients are more successful when they commit to the therapeutic relationship, believe in themselves, and trust the therapeutic process because these qualities will give them support, a supportive atmosphere for growth, and the drive to put in the necessary effort to improve themselves. “For your process to work and to provide the desired results, you must proactively participate in it.” Have you prepared?

Photo of Hadyn L. Huckabee, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Jonesboro

About:

Do you frequently ponder how you arrived at this situation? Maybe people have noticed that you haven’t been your true self. The route looks so tricky, but you want your life back. You might feel isolated. When you find yourself in this situation, fundamental things, including relationships with the people you love, may break apart. Or, possibly, the downhill spiral was sparked by a relationship issue.

You need someone to see you and understand you in these difficult situations. Positive self-talk and learning coping mechanisms can only get you so far. You deserve therapy that promotes healing and wholeness so you may be your best self.

I have training in trauma, relationships, grief/loss, anxiety, and attachment. Also, I’ve received training to incorporate religious perspectives as needed. I’ve received complete training in the attachment-based therapy model known as emotionally focused therapy (EFT). The gold standard for couples therapy, EFT is also very successful with individuals and families.

I’d happily sit with you and hear about all that happened, and I won’t assume anything about you or your situation. Knowing it’s okay to be who you are is the first step on the healing road. It’s my goal to create the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel welcome in those vulnerable locations. To start this procedure, you’re welcome to contact me.

10. Stan Gray, LCSW

(Edgar-Gray Counseling, PLLC)

Photo of Stan Gray, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Pensacola

About:

My decision to pursue a career in therapy was more of a calling. I’m not ideally equipped for this line of work. Being introverted makes me appear a little aloof and hostile to strangers. Small conversations and things I view as the superficialities of life don’t worry me.

Yet that’s where I feel most comfortable examining the most profound, challenging, and unpleasant parts. My own 12-step recovery experience serves as the cornerstone of my practice. More than 32 years ago, I was “selected” to receive the gift of recovery from a toxic way of life.

I learned about Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in graduate school. Its paradigm is founded on research and fully aligns with my spiritual principles and beliefs. I most recently received training in EMDR in 2019, a fantastic technique for processing traumatic memories and dispelling ingrained false beliefs.

An excellent therapeutic pathway is provided by combining ACT with EMDR. The damaging emotional residue that makes it so challenging to live attentively and acceptingly in the present moment is healed with EMDR. You can “connect the dots” regarding your life and realize how pain has truly shaped it by using EMDR.
